So here it is! The March issue of Country Living is on the magazine racks now. If you'd like to pick it up, feel free to join in about your favorite article, or idea this month in the mag.
In this issue, my eyes are on this page and article titled, "The Cottage Comeback" I love the simple ideas that make a home full of warmth. See that brown dresser below? I love how they just replaced the wooden yucky knobs with white knobs. It's a simple solution that makes a BIG difference.
This article also talks about making simple set-ups and using soothing neutrals in the home. In my new/old home renovation this is what we imagine. A soothing farmhouse style, with natural browns and whites. Pops of color here and there, but nothing too drastic.

We really want to draw the eye to the natural colors of the outdoors, seeing we have over 30 something windows showcasing the greens, browns and flowers of the seasons. And we must not forget the white snows of winter that blankets everything for a few months.
Here are a few simple things that I have done in my current home.
A white assorted plate wall hangs in my kitchen. All of these plates were bought at The Salvation Army. You can't beat the price to decorate a small space. Simple pastel books bought from Anthropologie add a farmhouse feel atop my refrigerator. Do you decorate up there?
Some of the guest room. It has a soft feel with neutrals. I love the mixture of brown and white with the blues of the globes.
The bathroom got a recent salty sea touch up! I added new hand towels, hand lotion {I love buying new lotions and soaps from Homegoods or TJ Maxx} and a shower curtain.
How do you add neutrals to your home? What are your favorite styles? Did you like one particular article in Country Living? xo, Aly
